Our Mission:  The mission of the Media Center is to provide quality materials that support and enhance the instructional program of the school and to serve the needs of the school community.  Specifically, the library’s mission is to assist members of the learning community in becoming effective users of information and to promote the love of reading.

Vision Statement:  Our overall vision is to establish a collection of materials that will encourage reading for pleasure and information, support and enhance our curriculum, facilitate our efforts in technology, and address the diversity of our students.  We will strive to become an interactive resource center for students and staff to support learning and literacy achievement on local, state, and national levels.  Through collaborative efforts of faculty, staff, parents, and community we will help students become lifelong learners.

What is your School Librarian Reading?
I am reading This is My America by Kim Johnson, one of the SC Young Adult Book Award Nominees. I am also reading A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs-up for their own library card. Go to your local public library and get a library card today!
