Safety and Security at Athletic Events
The following procedures are implemented for all varsity sporting events at Blackville-Hilda High School.
- Gates are open one hour prior to game time.
- There is an increased officer presence.
- The district will implement hand-held metal detectors to screen spectators. Everyone will be subject to a search.
- Bookbags or other large bags are not allowed.
- Bags are subject to searches in line with state statute permitting "reasonable search" of any person entering school premises
- Admission is charged throughout the duration of games. No patrons are allowed to exit and re-enter without paying to re-enter.
- All students, 8th grade or younger, are now required to attend games with parents or guardians and supervised at all times.
